Renaissance London has built a unique reputation as one of the foremost dealers, restorers and experts in antique fireplaces, specialising in Victorian and Georgian marble fireplaces, French and Italian stone fireplaces and other fine architectural pieces in East London.
We sell antique fireplace surrounds and anqitue marble fireplaces, and the marble and stone fireplaces we do are of the very highest quality and are constructed and made at Renaissance using the best marbles.
All are hand made and finished to the very highest standards, following a process formed in the Georgian and Victorian period and incorporating the best types of marble that can be sourced today in an effort to match that available all those years ago. All are structurally re-enforced to the interiors and soffit with all elements held together with copper wire clamps.
We take high definition photos and make moulds to get it right.
Passion for fireplaces
The selection is indicative of the types of architecturally correct chimney-pieces we make, but much of our work in this field has been the manufacture of copies or pairs to match existing examples. There are also a number of freely invented designs inspired and copied from genuine antique originals.
Without doubt our passion is fireplaces – there isn’t much we don’t know about them. All our stock is carefully sourced from around Europe – anything from the 16th Century to the present day, Queen Anne to Victorian, fireplaces, chandeliers, one-off pieces bespoke or reproduction. Our showroom on City Road in Shoreditch showcases our find collection of antique fireplaces, as well as specialists mirrors, lighting and eclectic salvaged artefacts.
Renaissance also accept commissions for bespoke and reproduction fireplaces and do a complete restoration and fitting service. We specialize in Stone Mantles, antique Stone Fireplaces, Murano Chandeliers and Vintage Lighting in London.
